The Barberville Family Farm Swap and Market is open on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. The exception is when there are conflicts with The Pioneer Settlement for the Creative Arts Events, in which the date would be moved to still have two markets per month. There is a  required $5.00 donation made by farmers and vendors to sell.  This is to support the expenses of the farmer swap and market.

The Barberville Family Farm Swap and Market is located on State Road 40, one mile west of US Highway 17 in Barberville, Florida.  The entrance is off of Lemmon Road.  There are signs to direct you on State Road 40 on the days the farm swap and market is held.  For driving directions on Google maps, use this address:

Lemmon Road
Pierson, Florida 32180

The gates open around 6 am for farmers and vendors to start their display set up.  We are asking our farmers and Vendors to be set up and ready to sell by 8 am.  We want to establish the selling rows and be ready for the buyers, when they arrive.  Our buyers start to show at 8 am and the raffles start at 9 am. This is why we would really prefer to have all our sellers parked and selling by 8 am. The farm swap and market events usually last until about noon time.

*** Please noteThere is no selling in the customer parking area! ***

Instructions for Vendor arrival at the Farmer’s Swap and Market.

Upon pulling through the gate of the farmer’s market, vendors turn to the right and drive to the Big American Flag and stop. Your $5.00 donation will be received, and you will be asked to write your name and phone number on a piece of paper. Once this happens, you’re checked in and ready to park.

Usually there is someone available to guide you into the next available parking spot. We need you to park closely to your neighboring seller, as many times we have 60 or more sellers and we want to make room for everyone we can.

Rules for Farmers and Vendors Selling at the Farm Swap and Market.

  1. All farmers and sellers will be allowed to safely park before any buying or selling takes place.  We are having some problems with crowds gathering to purchase while vehicle is still moving, or holding up the check in process.  So please, let’s work together to get parked safely, and keep everyone safe from injury at the farm swap and market.

  2. During the raffles, there will be no vehicle traffic down the main isle.  We have many adults and lots of children participating in these raffles.  We want to make this a fun and safe experience for everyone.  A few safety precautions will go a long way in keeping everybody safe.

  3. No flea market or rummage sale type items are allowed. We allow anything grown on a farm or nursery.  Remember that "We are Keeping the FARM in Farmers Markets" as a basic guide on what you can sell.

Animal Regulations:

  • All goats (including kids) and sheep (including lamb) must have a Scrapie Tag to be sold.  The farm swap and market will have tags to be put on the animals, but you will need to fill out a form for each animal before a tag is put in its ear.
  • A current negative Coggins Test is required for all horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys brought to the farm swap and market. None of these animals will be allowed on the property without it.
